The Mulberry Comic Con returns to Kirskey Park on Saturday and will feature Michael Copon, best known for his character Lucas Kendall, the Blue Ranger on “Power Rangers Time Force.”

The cost is $10 per person 13 and over while kids 12 and under are free. The Bruce Wayne package is still available for $75 and includes a t-shirt, a meal, and a 7-inch tablet.

Copon also had starring roles in “Bring It On: In It to Win It,” “The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior,” and “247°F.” His other best-known television character was Felix Taggaro in “One Tree Hill.” Copon has guest appearances on a number of other television series including “That’s So Raven,” “Greek,” “CSI: Miami,” and “Hawaii Five-O.” He also had a main role on “Beyond the Break.”

Door prizes will be given away each hour with a grand prize of a Nintendo Switch.

Several characters will be on hand including members of the 501st Legion and the Rebel Alliance of the Star Wars films, in addition to Pokémon characters and other cosplayers.

Panels for the event include Elli Kelley, “From Character to Competition, Cosplay on a Budget,” Infinite Joy Cosplay: “Armor Building, Cosplay, and Makeup.” Workshops include Melinda Shores, the artist for Bark Trek: “How to Digital Comics.”

The Mulberry ComicCon is the brainchild of Keith Pigg, who wanted to help with the library expansion and showcase local writers and artists through literary awareness.

The Friends of the Library in Mulberry organized the event to help pay for the expansion needed at the public library.
