Crawford County justices of the peace approved changing travel reimbursement policies during their meeting on Tuesday.
The Crawford County Quorum Court approved an emergency ordinance amending Ordinance 32-2003, according to Crawford County Judge Dennis Gilstrap. Gilstrap said the amended ordinance will help clarify the eligible reimbursement for those traveling on county business outside of Crawford County.
“It was just basically a cleanup of the travel ordinance to assist the county clerk when she was doing reimbursements for travel, to give them a clearer understanding of what the amounts, what the limits were that would be paid and what documentation was to be furnished by the person,” Gilstrap said.
Prior to the quorum court meeting, Gilstrap said the Crawford County Personnel Committee voted to table a new position for the Crawford County Public Defender pending more information from Public Defender Ryan Norris.
The next regular Crawford County Quorum Court meeting will be March 19.
