Tickets for the annual Alma Area Chamber of Commerce awards dinner are now available for purchase.

Love Your Chamber Awards Dinner tickets are on sale in Alma at Arvest, Citizens Bank & Trust Co., United Federal Credit Union and Petals and Stems.

The dinner will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at the Alma High School Student Union and will be catered by Frank’s Restaurant.

Individual tickets are $30. Corporate tables are $300 and will include six tickets and recognition leading up to and at the event. Tickets may be reserved by emailing, according to Bryan Huff, chamber executive director.

Guest speaker for the Feb. 22 dinner will be Chuck Dovish, producer and host of “Exploring Arkansas” on the Arkansas Educational Television Network.

Before coming to AETN, Dovish was mainly known for his “Travelin’ Arkansas” segments which aired on KTHV- Channel 11 for more than 25 years.

Since October 2005, he has been producing and hosting “Exploring Arkansas,” which showcases all the high adventure in the Natural State, Huff said.

“We hope you will join us as we celebrate our successes in 2017 and kick off 2018,” Huff said.

The chamber’s Distinguished Service Award will be announced during the annual awards dinner as well as the community leader and business of the year awards, according to Bryan Huff, chamber executive director.

Beyond Church of Alma received last year’s Distinguished Service award while Ed Thicksten, long-time resident of Alma and former state legislator, received the community leader award. United Federal Credit Union in Alma was named the chamber business of the year.

Outgoing board member Debbie Fort will be recognized for her service and education to the chamber while Terry Carson and Rebecca Gann will be introduced as new board members, who will serve three-year terms.
