The Van Buren pajama train sponsored by the Arkansas and Missouri Railroad will run on Nov. 24-26 and Dec. 4-6.

Hot chocolate, cookies and a visit from Santa will be featured on each one-hour trip, which depart from the train depot at 813 Main St., Van Buren.

The pajama train departures are 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24; 11 a.m. and 1, 3 and 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 24; 11 a.m. and 2:30 and 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26; 11 a.m. and 5 and 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 4; and 11 a.m. and 5 and 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 5 and 6.

Tickets prices are $25 for adults and $15 for children 3 to 12.

The annual lighting of the Crawford County Courthouse is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, along with the Festival of the Trees sponsored by the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce and the Living Windows hosted by The Old Town Merchants Association.

Heritage United Methodist Church also will have an outreach in the downtown area on Dec. 2.

Van Buren’s annual Christmas parade will be 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.

Van Buren Public Library at 1409 Main St. has scheduled several activities, including Lego train building on Nov. 30, making train ornaments on Dec. 1, breakfast with Santa on Dec. 2, making Christmas cards on Dec. 7, Christmas cookies on Dec. 8 and the Polar Express movie at 2 p.m. on Dec. 9.
