More than 50 silent auction items have been secured for the annual Taste of Crawford County scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 8, in the Commons at Van Buren High School.
The items include artwork, gift certificates, massages, rounds of golf, oil changes and tire rotations, China cabinet, floral arrangements, pizzas, cookware, electronic bug zapper and Razorback watch.
Food vendors who have signed up to participate in TOCC include: Pizza Parlour, Outback, D&R Trolley Stop, Colton’s Steak House, Little Ceasars, Sweet Bay, Uncle Louie G’s, American Vegetable Soybean and Edamame, Craw Pappys, Platinum Distributing, Oliver’s Southern Cuisine, Stirred Catering and Coffee, JC’s BBQ Place, Crabtree Farm, Chapters on Main, Boom-a-rang Diner, Confectionately Yours, Thai Pad, Chick-Fil-A and Pasta Grill.
Two sessions are scheduled – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. - for the fundraiser for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Van Buren and the boys and girls clubs of Alma and Van Buren.

Tickets for Taste of Crawford County will be $10 in advance; $15 at the door.
The National CASA Association is a network of 955 CASA and guardian ad litem programs that recruit, train and support volunteer advocates in 49 states.
CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to advocate for the safety and well-being of children who have been removed from their homes due to parental abuse and neglect. The volunteers watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children.
