Stepping Stone is holding its annual Valentine fundraiser with gifts and candy that can be delivered.
Items for sale as part of the fundraiser include stuffed animals, candy bags, Mylar balloons, soda gift bags that have treats and a can of soda, and other assorted gift bags for both children and adults, said Meredith Christello, Stepping Stone School development coordinator.
“You can come in and pick out what you want (or) you can call in orders, and we’ll deliver them,” Christello said.
Deliveries will be made to Alma, Van Buren, Fort Smith, Mountainburg, Kibler, Rudy, Dyer and Mulberry, and can be made to any home, school or business, Christello said.
A gift shop has been set up at the school at 1036 E. U.S. 64 in Alma with all of the items for sale open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Items are priced between $6 and $35 and the proceeds go into the school’s development fund. The gift shop only accepts cash or check.
The fundraiser started as a means to raise money for construction of the school’s current building, Christello said. It was so successful, that they’ve continued it every year, she said.
“We’ve done this for all 15 years and it’s one of our biggest fundraisers,” Christello said.
While the school has no specific project this year, the money in the development fund can be used for anything needed by the school, Christello said.
Orders will be taken through Tuesday, Feb. 14, on Valentine’s day, and all deliveries will be made that day, Christello said.
“We close out our whole administration hall and everybody delivers,” Christello said.
