Stepping Stone School in Alma will host a banquet and silent auction, beginning at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church Family Center, 1025 E. Pointer Trail in Van Buren.
“The event will both celebrate and benefit Stepping Stone School,” said Toni Wilson, executive director. “You, your employees and your guests will not want to miss this celebration.”
The program’s focus will be on Stepping Stone’s continued success and future ambitions.
“Speakers will relate success stories of our adults and children who have received our services,” Wilson said.
She said platinum, gold, silver and bronze sponsorships are available.
“Banquet sponsorships are the most prominent way to recognize your business,” Wilson said. “Sponsorships include not only reserved tables and dinner tickets but also other tools to market your business.”
The deadline to purchase banquet sponsorships is Saturday. The platinum sponsorship is $500, gold is $400, silver is $300 and bronze $100. Donations and sponsorships are tax deductible, Wilson pointed out.
Individual tickets may be purchased for $20.
Oliver’s Southern Cuisine in Van Buren will cater the event. The menu will include a choice between roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, dinner roll and dessert, or chicken and rice, salad, green beans and dessert.
“Stepping Stone looks forward to working with you to make this event a success,” Wilson said.
Stepping Stone, organized in 1972, is a comprehensive service provider to people with developmental disabilities and their families, serving as a model to other organizations in the state for how to reach and serve people.
Stepping Stone is the parent organization for four programs: the therapeutic preschool; the adult development center/jobs plus; Cedar Ridge assisted living; and a Medicaid waiver program. The therapeutic preschool is the only full-time one of its kind in Crawford County. Stepping Stone offers educational training, speech, physical, and occupational therapy, plus family case management and training.
