Miranda Renee Richardson of Rainbow City, Ala., and Joshua Brett New of Gadsden, Ala., were united in marriage Nov. 4 at Sampson’s Hollow in Walland, Tenn.

The bride is the daughter of Donald and Tina Shores of Chester and the late Gary D. Richardson, and the granddaughter of Jerry and Glenda Smith of Alma and Elmer and Nancy Richardson of Fort Smith.

The groom is the son of Ted and Deborah New of Gadsden, Ala., and Donnette and Doug Odom of Jasper, Ala.

The bride wore an ivory lace trump gown and a lace cathedral veil.

The couple took a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and the Great Smoky Mountains. They reside in Rainbow City.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Alma High School and is a registered and licensed dietitian with Physician Choice Dialysis Center in Gadsden.

The groom is an employee of Compass Bank in Rainbow City.
