Ewell Dean "Bub" Pendergrass, 70, of Cedarville died Monday, May 30, 2016, in Van Buren. He was born Dec. 24, 1945, in Houston. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and worked for the City of Fort Smith for 36 years before retirement in 2010 as an electronic technician for water and waste water. He was adjunct faculty for the university in Camde, where he taught classes on water and waste water. He was president and member of the Arkansas Waste Water Committee, included in the Marquis Who’s Who Publications Board for many years and water operator of the year. He and his wife Linda had LED Communications for 40 years and he was a ham radio operator for 56 years.
He is survived by his wife; children, Nagaya Jo Morton, William Dean Pendergrass and Douglas Aaron Pendergrass; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral was June 3 at Wesley United Methodist Church with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood
Pallbearers were Darel Morton, Scott McBrayer, Keith Pipkins, Brad Hall, David Shelly and Tim Mahan.
Honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren.
