Norma "June" Walker, 88, of Van Buren entered into rest Monday, April 27, 2015. She was born in Iowa on July 17, 1926. to the late Clyde Meredith Woods and Lena Pearl (Greenwood) Woods. She was a member of the Northland Cathedral Assembly of God Church in Kansas City. She ministered in retirement centers and served at the polling station for many years. She enjoyed making baby quilts she was an exceptional stenographer for the U.S. government.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Del Walker; one son, the Rev. Larry Hampton Walker of Alma; one daughter, Cynthia Walker Lane of Sand Springs, Okla.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was April 30 at the Grace Covenant Church in Alma with interment at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.

Pallbearers were Devon Walker, Sean Walker, Ian Walker, Jalen Jones, Spencer Lane, Austin Lane, Matthew Willis and Taj Speight.
