Remi Mulloy led Van Buren as the only Top 25 finisher for the team as he placed 19th at the Cross Country Classic.

Cordell Landon (43rd) was Van Buren’s second runner to cross followed by Alex Webb (44th), Mason Hayes (51st), Kramer Schwartz (53rd), Parker Wilson (56th), and Carter Davis (104th). Other participants include Brush Brammer, Michael McKown, Ethan Davis, Travis Cooper, Landon Riggs, John Masters, Jerk Mai, Spencer Holmes, Micaiah Barnett, Caleb Lawley, Cass Wiederkehr, Kuper Lale, Brett Davis, Collin Cantrell, Lifazz Lonetree and Emmanuel Rodriguez.

Alma had individuals running with Lane Wiley leading the pack to finish 58th overall. Other runners for Alma included Jake Westfall, Noah Wofford and Kyle Sentell.

Britt Sease (Shiloh Christian) won medalist honors for the Class 5A-7A boys’ junior high division.

Woodland Junior High won the event with 43 points with five runners placing in the Top 15, followed by Rogers (74), Ramay-Red (97), Central (100), Heritage (142), Shiloh (152), George JH (1171), Van Buren (193), Siloam Springs (198), Chaffin (327) and Kimmons (341).

Katie Barnwell had the fastest time for Van Buren as she placed 38th overall. Other Van Buren runners included Jordan Brodie (45th), Allison Cerda (53rd), Daisy Connor (62nd), Nicole Tankersly (63rd), Jo Leigh Catalone (64th) and Honey Matevia (67th). Extra Van Buren runners included Jenna McKown, Kenna Slusher, Alexis Ansbro, Kaylie De Saussure, Sierra Pittman, Sherly Mendez and Abigail Cook.

Alma had individuals competiting with Marti Schockley leading the Lady Airedales with a 26th finish. Heather Padilla, Breanna Williams, and Chole Ray also ran for Alma.

Rogers’ Emily Efurd earned medalist honors in the girls’ division as she was one of three Top 10 finishers to help Rogers win Saturday’s event with 43 points. Siloam Springs was second (78) followed by Central (119), Woodland (125), Ramay (127), Heritage (149), George (169), Shiloh Christian (178), Van Buren (230), Kimmons (262), Huntsville (310) and Chaffin (367).

In the Class 1A-4A event, Cedarville had a few runners participating with Cierra Henry as the fastest runner in the girls’ division. Whitney Hernandez and Gracie Goines also competed for the Lady Pirates.

Chris Hopkins was the sole Cedarville runner in the boys’ division and he finished 11th. Chase Wade (Prairie Grove) won the event as his team took fourth.
