Jeff Metcalf won just his second outing at Crawford County Speedway and the top prize during the Firecracker 30s on Thursday.
CCS had another run of races on Saturday and Stan Lewis won his first feature event of the season.
The second Mechanics event will follow a regular slate of racing.
Alma’s Zane Hunter won a pair of races at TSS on Saturday.
Crawford County Speedway
Metcalf only other appearance at CCS was back on June 7 when he placed 11th. He finished first in a field of 17 cars and took home the $1,000 top prize.
Darrin Rigney debuted in second and Joey Dunn returned since he last appeared in the Grand National feature on May 17 and was third.
Brent Robertson was fourth and last week’s runner-up, Billy Wheeler was fifth.
After running 17 cars on Thursday, just four comprised of the field Saturday. Jamison English clinched his fifth win in seven starts and Jerry Harris was second.
Matt Bolton made his first feature race appearance since March 29 and took third. John Garner was ninth.
Duane Rose grabbed his third win of the season and the $500 prize during Thursday’s running at CCS.
Rose has won three times this season and was runner up last week.
Remington Watson seized his second runner-up finish in three outings while Gene Gore finished third.
Sambo Parmenter, who won on June 21, took fourth and Parker Dunn was fifth.
Last week’s winner, Devin Foster was 10th.
Ronnie Lingo won his first feature race on Saturday and Watson had his third runner-up finish in four weeks.
Rose was third and was followed by Eli Dodd and Clifton Lingo.
360 E Modified
Adam Hardin earned his first win after eight consecutive feature starts in the E Modified race on Thursday and nabbed the top prize of $500.
Jimmy Wiley finished second in just his second start of the season. Last week’s winner, Shawn Pinkerton, clinched third and Raymond Sambrano placed fourth. Chris Tuck was fifth for the second straight race.
Shawn Pinkerton returned Saturday to clinch his third win overall and his second in three starts.
Sambrano was runner up on Saturday followed by Randall Hardbarger, Hardin and Remington Watson.
Hank Long seized his second win in three feature starts and the $500 prize for winning Thursday’s event.
John Montgomery, who last won on June 21, was second and Randy Payne picked up his sixth Top 3 finish as he took third. Victor Pinkerton was fourth for the second straight feature event.
Pinkerton won Saturday’s race to grab his fourth win overall
Front Wheel Drive
James Poe missing last week’s feature event didn’t seem to slow him down as he took his ninth overall win.
Poe won five in a row before he missed the June 28 race.
Brian White was second and Josh Jones grabbed third. Corey Howell, who was last week’s winner, was fourth and John Stand took fifth.
Josh Jones won his first FWD feature race on Saturday.
White took second in as many events. Corey Howell was third and Shannon Howell seized fourth. Susan Payne rounded out the Top 5.
Jonathan Ferrari won his second feature race on Thursday night during the special running at CCS.
Teddy Parker, who was last week’s winner and has six wins this season, was second and Stan Lewis was third.
Tony Ferrari, the only driver not to miss a feature race this season was fourth, and Travis Boyster took fifth.
On Saturday, Lewis earned his first win of the season as Parker finished runner-up for the second straight week. Tony Ferrari nabbed third on Saturday while Edward Boyster and Jonathan Boyster rounded out the Top 5.
Zane Hunter won both the Economy/360 Modified and the Pure Stock feature events on Saturday.
Charlie Jones (Van Buren) took first in the Mini Stock feature and Randy Henson won the USRA Modified main event for the second time this season.
Hunter won his second Pure Stock in three starts and had won three feature events this season.
Van Buren’s Marshall Penson took second after winning his seventh race last week.
Cody Collingsworth of Rudy had his highest finish of the season as he took third. Dakota Keys and Gene Gore rounded out the Top 5.
After being disqualified last week, Kyle McAllister returned to the victory lap for his unprecedented 12th win this season.
Darren Scott was runner up for the second time in three weeks. Jerome Heinrich was third and last week’s winner, Jay Anderson was fourth. Wendell Vaughn took fifth.
USRA B Modified
Gary Vaughan took his second win of the season as he finished first in the Saturday’s event.
Last week’s winner, Aaron Scoggins, finished second and Camden Perry took third.
Jay Rierson and Todd Broyles placed fourth and fifth respectively.
Gean Davlin placed first and became the fourth different winner in as many weeks in the Super Stock class.
Last week’s winner, Tony Anglin, didn’t compete in the feature race on Saturday. Dylan Davlin (June 21) was fourth, while Ty Evans (June 14) grabbed fifth.
Neil Johnson, who has three wins this season, was second and Eric Beshoner nabbed third.
Alma’s Randy Henson picked up his second USRA Modified win after he placed 14th last week. Henson last won on May 3.
Kyle Ledford had his highest finish of the season as he took second and Geroge Martin was third.
Jeremy Vaughn, who won the last two feature events, was fourth and Brian Williams clinched fifth.
Hunter won his first Economy feature race in four starts on Saturday, after he placed eighth last week.
Mulberry’s Anthony Reeves was second and Van Buren’s Dalton McKenzie was third.
Jack Johnson and Delman Burris rounded out the Top 5.
Front Wheel Drive
James Poe won his second straight FWD event as Rudy’s Chris Perkins was runner up for the second time as well.
Scott Bridges, Kevin Prall and Aaron Dyer placed third, fourth and fifth respectively.
Charles Jones, who placed seventh in the FWD feature, was the winner of the Mini Stock feature race.
