Cedarville’s Garrett Parson took 10 trips to the free-throw line and the Pirates grabbed another 3A-1 West Conference win Tuesday night as they defeated Elkins 64-57.

Parson scored a game-high 27 points and was 15 of 19 from the line.

Junior Corey Fincher added 15 points as he hit a trio of treys. Kendall Pittman added nine points for Cedarville.

The Pirates jumped ahead 12-9 and led 30-26 by halftime.

Mountainburg 40, Magazine 27 (Women’s)

Tara Webb finished with 13 points and and Auburn Peters added 11 in Tuesday’s win at home.

Mountainburg led 11-6 after the first quarter and was up 19-15 by halftime.

The Lady Dragons moved to 19-2 overall and 9-0 in conference.

Mountainburg 67, Magazine 36 (Men’s)

Lonnie Campbell scored 18 points and Trey Allen tossed in 17 to help the Dragons win at home Tuesday night.

The Dragons improved to 6-12 overall and 4-5 in league play.

Mulberry 49, Greenland 35 (Women’s)

The Lady YellowJackets held off a second quarter rally by Greenland to pick up the nonconference win on the road Tuesday.

Mulberry had led 15-8 after the first quarter, but Greenland bounced back to push the Lady YellowJackets to 23-22. However, Mulberry took a 35-25 lead to start the fourth quarter.

Brittany Edwards led with 19 points with both Sam Cagle and Lexi Voorhees adding 11 points each.

Mulberry 56, Greenland 41 (Men’s)

Audie Stringer had 18 points and Dillon Jones tossed in 17 in Tuesday’s victory.

Mulberry trailed 14-13 to start the game, but led 25-20 at halftime.

The YellowJackets outscored Greenland 18-8 in the fourth quarter.

Keenan Reeves added 11 while Luke Anderson chipped in eight.
