Cedarville finished fourth at the junior high 3A-1 District Meet on April 24. Green Forest won both divisions.

Cedarville clinched the top three spots in the 100-meter dash as Andrew Hernandez won the event in 11.78 seconds, followed by Dillon Strelow and Caleb Stockton. Cedarville also took the first and second in the 200 dash. Hernandez placed first (24.4) and Strelow was second. Stockton nabbed fourth in the same event.

Strelow won the 400 in 56.18 and the high jump (5 feet, 6 inches) and was third in the triple jump (37-6.5).

Hernandez also won the 300-meter hurdles (46.9) and finished second in the 110-meter hurdles (19.11). He was also first in the long jump (17-7.5) while Strelow took second (17-3.5).

Stockton finished third in the shot put (35-5.5).

In the girls’ division Cierra Henry won the 1,600 (6:06.26) and was third in the 800 (2:49.8).

The Cedarville girls won the 1,600- and the 3,200-meter relays and was fourth in the 400 relay.

Other results


Patience Wise nabbed second in the 400 (1:09.73) and third in the 200 (29.9), the triple jump (29-8), and in the long jump (13-4.5).

Whitney Hernandez was fourth in the triple jump (28-4).

Briana Reding clinched fifth in the long jump (12-4.5) and the triple jump (27-7), tied for sixth in the high jump (3-8) and seized seventh in the 1,600 (6:42.22).

Lainie Stockton placed seventh in the long jump (12-3), and eighth in the 400 (1:15.8) and in the triple jump (24-6.5).

In the shot put, Chanel Kattich was fourth (25-9) and Devyn Ruiz took sixth (25-6). Kattich also clinched sixth in the discus (51-10) and Nikita Foust was eighth (51-7) in the same event.


Cedarville placed second in the 3,200- and the 400-meter relays and was third in the 1,600 relay.

Aaron Lawson nabbed fourth in the 1,600 (5:44.38).

Ben Bailey grabbed fifth in the 800 (2:32.2).

Isaiah Lawson finished seventh in the 1,600 (6:04.09).

Levi Poole took eighth in the 110-meter hurdles (22.13) and the 300 hurdles (59.4).
