Hendrix women’s basketball coach Drew Gaeng has announced that former Central Baptist College (CBC) four-year basketball player Morgan Fimpel will be joining the Hendrix Warriors women's basketball coaching staff.

"We're excited to welcome Morgan to the Warrior family,” Gaeng said. "She's shown a great passion for the game and is eager to contribute to our team this year. I think she will be a great addition to our staff and a valuable asset for our girls."

Fimpel, a native of Maumelle, will be primarily working with post players for the Warriors team.

In her four years with the Mustangs, Fimpel recorded 581 points, 399 rebounds, 89 blocks, 50 steals and 31 assists including a career-best 17 points and six blocks against Baptist Bible College.

Fimpel also earned All-Conference Academic honors in 2017.

As a senior at Maumelle High School, Fimpel averaged 21.0 points, 18.0 rebounds and 7.0 blocks. She also graduated with academic honors.

Fimpel is scheduled to receive her bachelor's degree in General Studies with a minor in Recreational Leadership December 2018.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, watching baseball, hanging out with her family and spending time with her puppy Colt.
