Wendell Harve Skelton, 85, of Chester died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at his home. He was a retired truck driver for Hickory Springs in Fort Smith, a former air tech for Ken Whalen Heat and Air in Fort Smith and a Navy veteran. He was a member of Chester Freewill Baptist Church, born Sept. 12, 1928, in Fort Smith and widower of Johna Faye Skelton.

He is survived by a daughter, Tina L. Hall of Mountainburg; a sister, Sue Rusher of Huntington; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was July 7 at Chester Freewill Baptist Church with burial at Vaught Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Alma.

Pallbearers were James Watson, David Burkhart, David Morgan, Jesse Pottridge, Hung Vu and Lloyd Seratt.
