Sally Neighbors, 92, of Uniontown passed away Monday, June 23, 2014, in Gore, Okla. She was born March 18, 1922 in, Nicut, Okla., to the late Thomas and Lillie Matthews. She was a homemaker and a member of Uniontown Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Rebecca Lodge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arley Neighbors; a daughter, Sue McBride Earls; and a son, Jerry Neighbors.
She is survived by three daughters, Ruthie Smith and husband Charles of Gore, Okla., Mary Armer and husband J.B. of Rudy and Tammy Willson and husband Jerry of Gainesville, Texas; two sons, Arley J. Neighbors Jr. and wife Sue of Knob Noster, Mo., and Roy Neighbors and wife Betty of Muldrow; two sisters, Lillian Hubbard of Bixby, Okla., and Ruby Rose of Van Buren; two brothers, Hasting Matthews and wife Glenna of Tulsa and Harvey Matthews and wife Terry of Tennessee; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Uniontown Baptist Church with interment to follow at Seabolt Cemetery in Bellefont, Okla., under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.
The family will visit with friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
