Mrs. Lenora Berna, 89, of Mulberry died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at a local hospital. She was a homemaker, a member of the Hamtown Baptist Church in Mulberry and retired from New Haven Nursing Home in Van Buren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Ethel Arnold; a daughter, Earnestine Robbins; a granddaughter, Christina Robbins; two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by three daughters, Lou Ammonette of Altus, Marie Blackard and her husband Richard of Van Buren and Shirley Ingram and her husband Richard of Ozark; a son, Rickie Berna of Arkansas, two sisters, Alma Keller and Ruth Dunn, both of Texas; grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was Oct. 8 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with interment at Morris Cemetery near Dyer under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Active pallbearers were Ed Blackard, Paul Zolliecoffer, Greg Ross, Dee Kirby, Michael Hobson and Danny Dunn. Honorary pallbearers were Larry and Roy Dean Ammonette, H. J. and Aaron Willis.
