Doyle Hopkins, 89, of Fort Smith passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018, at his home. He was a prominent Arkansas businessman and retired real estate investor. He was a Methodist and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Austen Hice; both parents, James Aaron and Viola (Weiburg) Hopkins; three sisters, Mabel Hobbs, Daisy Zinnaman and Ruby Cox; one brother, Glen Hopkins; and two nieces, Nita Kay Cox and Emily Jane Hopkins.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Lee (Gibbs) Hopkins of the home; two daughters, Mona Lee Warmack and husband George and Aaron Lynn “Rusti” Holwick and husband Von, all of Fort Smith; two sons, Doyle A Hopkins and wife Jamie and James Breck Hopkins and wife Landi, all of Fort Smith; 14 grandchildren, Lee, Ashley, Hayley, Trey, Will, Logan, Cody, Bryce, Aaron, Sabin, Isabella, Gabe, Sophia and Breck; and two great-grandchildren, Calvin and Georgie.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Glen Hopkins Jr., Bruce Singleton, Bill Linder, David Reeder, Trey Hopkins and Breck Hopkins.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, 1 Childrens Way, Little Rock, AR 72202
