Evelyn Bernice Armer, 79, of Ozark died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, in Fayetteville. She was born March 7, 1938, in Bakersfield, Calif., and worked in housekeeping and was an inspector for Holiday Inn and Days Inn. She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church in Mulberry, charter member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and widow of Fred Armer.

 She is survived by four daughters, Charlotte Nordin of Knoxville, Pam Sackman of Charleston, Sue Erp of Texas and Toni Jolliff of Fort Smith; two sons, Jay Armer of Virginia and Steve Armer of Ozark; three sisters, Aline Rofkahr of Hartman, Barbara Guillory of Louisiana and Wanda Hickey of Alma; a brother, Harmon Hudson of Texas; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

 Funeral was Dec. 29 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.

 Pallbearers were Steve Armer, Jonathan Armstrong, Jason Harris, Ray Hickey, K.J. Bullock and Bobby Sackman.
