Emil Wayne Ray, 72, of Van Buren died Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at his home. He was a retired executive director of Fort Smith Housing Authority, 1963 graduate of Van Buren High School Class and received his bachelor’s degree in secondary education from a graduate of Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; a daughter, Leslie Britt of Fayetteville; two sons, Jonathan and Daniel Ray, both of Van Buren; a sister, Polly Bryant of Van Buren; two brothers, Richard and Jerry Ray, both of Van Buren; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Jerry and Derek Brasuell, Whitney and Russell Ray, Randy McClaren and Stonie Hopkins.
