Jack Wilbur Hopkins, 82, of Van Buren died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at his home. He an Army veteran of the Vietnam Ward and a retired shipping clerk for Gould Battery Co. in Fort Smith. He served four tours in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; two sons, Jacky Hopkins of Dardanelle and John Hopkins of Van Buren; two brothers, Bernard Smith of Camden and Ray Magsby of Englewood, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral was Dec. 13 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Burial with military honors was at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.

Pallbearers will be Shane Boyd, Tim Arnold, Danny Fine, Johnny Moore, Joshua Hopkins and Brian Brewer.
