Margaret McCormick, 83, of Alma passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at a local hospital. She was born Dec. 23, 1933, in Crawford County to the late Bill and Hazel Cristee Plum of Alma. She was a licensed beautician, homemaker, avid member of Brammer’s Ole Barn Square Dancers, member of Highway 71 Freewill Baptist Church and a member of the Fine Springs Lodge Order of the Eastern Star, all of Alma. She was preceded in death by the father of her children; a son, Mark; a daughter-in-law and a great-grandson.

She is survived by a daughter, Vickie Taylor and husband Ernie of Alma; two sons, John McCormick and Tracy McCormick and wife Patty, all of Alma; a sister, Dorothy Davis and husband Bruce of San Antonio; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. Interment of ashes will be at Newberry Cemetery at a later date.

The family will visit with friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
