Ila Jean Stratton, 94, of Van Buren passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017. She was born March 21, 1923, in Kibler to the late Moody and Ethel Montgomery. She was a retired postmaster for Dyer and a member of Heritage United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Stratton; a sister, Mary Lou Cilone; and two great-grandchildren, Ashtyn Holman and Alexander Reid.

She is survived by three daughters, Karen Fredrickson and Monte Wiley, both of Van Buren, and Rita Young of Ozark; two sons, Robert “Bob” Stratton of Waco, Texas, and Roger Stratton of Solgohachia, Ark.; eight grandchildren, Michelle Perry, Michael Brandon Wright, Whitney Wiley, Laura Myers, Amy Taylor, Sara Haynes, Josh Stratton and Matthew Stratton; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Heritage United Methodist Church in Van Buren with committal of ashes to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
