Joseph J. Szuba, 86, of Van Buren passed away Monday, June 12, 2017, in Fort Smith. He was born March 17, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Joseph and Mary Szuba. He was retired from General Electric and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict in the Air Defense Artillery branch. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Szuba.
He is survived by three daughters, Debbie Thomas of Parma, Ohio, Christine Bacon and husband Denny of Mentor, Ohio, and Kimberly Szuba of Van Buren; two sons, Charles Szuba and wife Amy of Van Buren and Richard Szuba of Parma, Ohio; a sister, Jenny Majeski of Parma Heights, Ohio; a brother, Leonard Szuba of Andover, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was June 15 at New Life Pentecostal Church in Van Buren. Cremation was under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
