Ben William Jackson Sr. of Van Buren passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017, at a local nursing home. He retired from Harding Glass Company in Fort Smith. He was a member of the Dora Assembly of God Church. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wives, Veda (Ford) Jackson and Dessie (Fields) Jackson.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Darlene Harris of Van Buren and Rhonda English of Dora; two sons, Rev. Ben Jackson Jr. of Hackett and Ronald Eugene Jackson of Van Buren; three sisters, Margie Keeton of Lebanon, Ohio, Edna English of Roland and Thelma Gaylord of Lebanon, Ohio; two brothers, Danny Jackson of Cedarville and Kenneth Jackson of Maryville, Tenn.; two step daughters, Willie Bayouth of Tulsa and Goldie Ford of Alma; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Harris, Axel Jackson, Dalton Jackson, Randy McClendon, Nickolas Harris and Zeke Johnson.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Saturday one hour prior to service.
