Pike Harvell, 76, of Alma passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017, in Fort Smith. He was born Sept. 23, 1940, in Muldrow to the late Paul and Nadine Harvell. He was retired from Rheem and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Muldrow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Julie Anne Mitchael.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of the home; two daughters, Cathy Ward of Arcadia, Okla., and Heather Harvell of Saratoga, Calif.; a son, Albert Pike Harvell Jr. of Rocklin, Calif.; two brothers, Doug Harvell of Muldrow and Bo Harvell of Mesquite, Texas; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was June 12 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Muldrow with interment at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers were Larry Crawford, David Crawford, Alex Neel, Scott Neel, Albert Pike Harvell Jr. and Logan Neel. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Hammond, Ray Howard, Ronnie Williams, Jack Bull, Bill London, Bill Rhodes and the Muldrow High School Class of 1959.
