Charles W. “Charlie” Pachl, 78, of Alma passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, in Fort Smith. He was born Nov. 17, 1938, in Fort Smith to the late Charles and Anna Pachl. He was a retired electrician for Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith and worked for Gene Raef Electrical. He had served with the Air National Guard and was a member and Deacon of the Living Church of God. He was preceded in death by a son, Mike Pachl.
He is survived by his wife, Vala Pachl of the home; a daughter, Vicki Erhart of Van Buren; two sons, Chuck Pachl of Van Buren and Ron Pachl of Solgohachia, Ark.; two sisters, Glenda Kay Mitchell of Oklahoma City and Judy Williams of Clarksville; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was June 2at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Gill Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Dutton, Scott Erhart, Chuck Pachl, Ron Pachl, Jackson Self and Brian Pachl.
