Carolyn June Battles, 69, of Alma passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at a local hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Concord Baptist Church. She was born Feb. 8, 1948 in Gideon, Mo., to the late Morrell and Gladys (Burt) Pavy. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Cole Michael Greenfield; and a brother, Dwight Pavy.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Bill Battles of the home; two daughters, Lisa McAlister and her husband Darby of Alma and Jennifer Battles and fiance Tim Kaelin of Oklahoma City; one son, Clifton Battles and wife JoLynn of Greenwood; three brothers, Allen Pavy and wife Theresa, Phillip Stephens and wife Pat and Harvey Coram, all of Alma; seven grandchildren, Jake Greenfield, Jacy McAlister, Aubrey Payne, Garret Payne, Colton Battles, Drew Battles and Jori Battles; three great-grandchildren, Jett Greenfield, Jax Chambers and Kaeson Sprinkle.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ocker Chapel in Alma with interment at Gill Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Alma.

Pallbearers will be Jake Greenfield, Gary Medlock, Dennis Cole, Tim Kaelin, Darby McAlister and Justin Pavy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Greer, Terry Fimple, Terry Oliver, Wayne Shibley, Frank Hayes, Paul Cooper, David LeClercq, J. D. VanMatre and Ron Peters.
