Lois L. Sivils, 93, of Alma went to be with our Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 9, 2017, in Fort Smith. She was born Feb. 17, 1924, in Lavaca to the late Alex and Rena Douglas. She retired from Whirlpool after 30 years. She was a volunteer at Sparks – Van Buren and attended Alma United Methodist Church. She greatly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Sivils.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Doom of Henderson, Ky., and Tina Head and husband Robert of Little Rock; a son, Ronnie Sivils and wife Pam of Alma; four grandchildren, Kim, Greg, Lindsey, and Marty; and seven great-grandchildren, Scout, Ashton, Avery, Addison, Emerson, Abby and Cameron.
Funeral service was March 13 at Alma United Methodist Church with interment at Gill Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers were Greg Sivils, Marty Head, Richard Craft, Scott Treece, Terry Fimple, Jerry Drinkwitz and Eliah Drinkwitz. The Adult Sunday School Class at Alma United Methodist Church served as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alma United Methodist Church, 416 Short St., Alma, AR 72921.
