Relive the memories of the 1994 National Championship Game as the Van Buren Rotary Club presents March Bracket Madness at Sisters Gourmet Bistro in Van Buren March 17.

Attendees will enjoy a complete replay of the 1994 National Championship Game in which Arkansas went up against Duke on multiple big-screen televisions.

With just 51 seconds to go in the game, star player Scotty Thurman knocked down a three-pointer, giving Arkansas the win. A complete replay of the game, along with those exciting final moments, will be shown and emceed by Alan Swaim.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door, and include appetizers and beverages. Reserved tables are available with premium seating.

Proceeds will go to help the local Rotary with community projects. Local Rotary clubs financially support scholarships to graduating seniors in Crawford County, participation in RYLA leadership camp, the 4-H Awards Banquet, and the Wiggle and Giggles Fishing Derby.

A wide range of appetizers will be offered including stuffed jalapenos, hot wings, teriyaki chicken skewers, 7-layer dip, cheeseburger sliders, potato wedges, barbecue meatballs, sweet and sour meatballs, edamame soybeans snacks, brownies, cookies, croissant sandwiches and cheese spread.

A cash bar will be available, and a silent auction and door prizes will be part of the event.

Swaim will introduce a very special item for silent auction - the oldest living Razorback has given his signature on his favorite sporting ball.

Also included in the auction will be a 1.5 carat diamond ring.

Those not attending the Rotary event can bid online at www.vanburenrotaryclub.org in the comment section. Bidders must include their email address and phone number.

Final bids must be in by noon March 17 to be added to the silent auction list.

This event is sponsored in part by Sisters Gourmet Bistro, Belle Pointe Beverages and American Vegetable Soybean and Edamame.
