Twenty food vendors will be featured at Thursday’s Taste of Crawford County.
The annual fundraiser for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Crawford County is scheduled for the courtyard area at the Van Buren High School Freshman Academy, 821 E. Pointer Trail.
Two sessions are scheduled – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Taste of Crawford County also benefits the boys and girls clubs of Alma and Van Buren as well as CASA.
Confirmed vendors are Sweet Boutique, Harvest Moon Artesian Bakery, Larry B’s Rhythm Room featuring Hazel’s Gourmet Chicken and Waffles, Carolyn’s Cheesecake House, McAlister’s Deli, Boom-a-Rang Diner, What’s Poppin, Crabtree Farms, Thai Curry, Pizza Parlour, D&R Trolley Stop, Tyson Foods, Platinum Distributing, American Vegetable Soybean and Edamame, Little Caesar’s, The Meat Station, Clean Cookin’, Las Fresas Mexican Grill, Minga’s Ice Cream and Savoy Tea Co.
Tickets for Taste of Crawford County will be $10 in advance through Monday; $15 at the door.
They are available at Van Buren Chamber of Commerce, 510 Main St.; Delta Investments, 1110 Main St., Van Buren; Crawford County Adult Education Center, 605 Alma Boulevard Circle, Van Buren; Van Buren Boys and Girls Club, 1400 City Park Road; and Alma Boys and Girls Club, 410 E. Main St.
Taste of Crawford County will feature a silent auction and non-food vendors, according to TOCC chair Janie Simmons.
Grass Roots Construction will be the presenting sponsor.

The National CASA Association is a network of CASA and guardian ad litem programs that recruit, train and support volunteer advocates in 49 states.
CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to advocate for the safety and well-being of children who have been removed from their homes due to parental abuse and neglect. The volunteers watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children.
