Two Fourth of July celebrations are planned for Saturday in Crawford County.
Mulberry will hold its Celebrate Mulberry family event at Kirksey Park with live music beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, hosted by the Mulberry Fire Department.
Fireworks start at about 9 p.m. and the event will offer hot dogs, slides for both young and older children, other activities and vendor booths.
Celebrate Mulberry will open with a Little Miss Pageant at 4 p.m.
Beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday at the community building on Loomis Lane in Dyer, City of Dyer Fourth of July Celebration will have food and activities with fireworks at dusk.
The community-wide free event, the celebration will include music, food and activities for kids.
A patriotic program with vocal and musical performances will be part of the event, followed by a large-scale fireworks display.
Paid on-site parking will be available, as well as free parking within walking distance. All parking proceeds will be used to honor military and service men and women.
Van Buren’s fireworks celebration will be held at dusk Wednesday at the Field of Dreams Sports Complex. Gates will open at 7 p.m.
Concessions will be available at the event, though attendees are encouraged to bring their own coolers, blankets, bug spray and lawn chairs. There will be no alcohol, pets, personal fireworks or firearms allowed at the event.
Fireworks will be sponsored by Ken and Vicki Kilgore, Jim and Carole Williamson and the City of Van Buren.
Mountainburg’s celebration will begin with Music in the Park at the mayor’s farm beginning at 6 p.m. July 4. Fireworks will begin just after dark at the old truck stop on exit 39 off I-49 in Mountainburg.
Alma will host the Mayor’s July 3rd Celebration at the Alma Aquatic Park.
There will be fireworks beginning at dusk and a late night swim at the water park, with food vendors and music from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
