Preparations are underway for the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce’s 13th annual Festival of Trees.

Downtown Van Buren will kick off the Christmas season this year on Dec. 2 with a night that will include the always-popular festival, as well as the Crawford County Courthouse lighting ceremony and The Old Town Merchants Association’s Living Windows.

Festival sponsorships are on sale by contacting the chamber.

Participants will have the opportunity to decorate trees along the courthouse walkway to be on display throughout the month of December. The uniquely decorated trees will be judged for their overall appearance, creativity and decor.

Festival winners will be announced during the lighting ceremony, which will begin at 6 p.m.

Tree sponsorships are $150 and include signage and recognition in the chamber’s Weekly Update and festival program. Event sponsorships are also available for $250 and include additional marketing opportunities. All chamber members are eligible to participate.

Local businesses wanting to support the festival may also choose to sponsor a tree and donate it to a local non-profit or school to decorate for the event. Both sponsor and benefactor will be recognized on the tree signage.

A limited number of tree and event sponsorships are available and interested chamber members should act quickly to secure their spot at this year’s event. The deadline to sign up is Nov. 16. To sponsor or for more information about the event, contact Janie Simmons at (479) 474-2761 or via email at Janie@VanBurenChamber.org.
