Early voting for the Fort Smith School Board election ends Monday and absentee voting ends Tuesday, according to a notice from Sebastian County.

Candidates Greg Magness and Jeannie Cole each are running unopposed for the at-large, position 2 and zone 3, position 7 spots, respectively. Cole has been on the board for 20 years. Magness would replace Deanie Mehl, who is not running for re-election after 12 years.

A vote to keep the current millage rate of 36.5 mills is on the ballot. A millage rate increase is not on the ballot.

Polls will not be open on Election Day. All voting for the Fort Smith School Board election will be via early voting and absentee voting, according to the notice. Voters may vote early at the Sebastian County Clerk's Office inside the Sebastian County Courthouse or at Greenwood City Hall.

School board members have three-year terms and are unpaid.
