Additional food vendors have signed up for the annual Taste of Crawford County scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 8, in the Commons at Van Buren High School.

They are Colton’s Steak House, Little Ceasars, Sweet Bay, Uncle Louie G’s, American Vegetable Soybean and Edamane, Craw Pappys and Platinum Distributing.

Food vendors previously committed to Taste of Crawford County are Oliver’s Southern Cuisine, Stirred Catering and Coffee, JC’s BBQ Place, Crabtree Farm, Chapters on Main, Memory Lane, Legacy Heights, Boom-a-rang Diner, Confectionately Yours, Thai Pad, Chick-Fil-A and Pasta Grill.

Two sessions are scheduled – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. - for the fundraiser for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Van Buren and the boys and girls clubs of Alma and Van Buren.

CASA currently is seeking food and non-food vendors to participate in Taste of Crawford County, according to Celeste Lewis, executive director of CASA.

More than 20 food vendors participated in last year’s Taste of Crawford County.

Tickets for Taste of Crawford County will be $10 in advance; $15 at the door.

Taste of Crawford County also will feature a silent auction with close to 60 items, according to TOCC co-chairs Tiffany Perryman and Bridgetta Shepherd.

The National CASA Association is a network of 955 CASA and guardian ad litem programs that recruit, train and support volunteer advocates in 49 states.

CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to advocate for the safety and well-being of children who have been removed from their homes due to parental abuse and neglect. The volunteers watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children.
