Area high school seniors are preparing for their graduation ceremonies taking place in the coming weeks.

Van Buren High School will again have its graduation ceremony at Stubblefield Center at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith. The ceremonies are set for Tuesday, May 16 beginning at 7 p.m.

Van Buren school officials decided last year to move the ceremony to Stubblefield Center from Citizens Bank Stadium at Blakemore Field to eliminate the threat of inclement weather and provide enough room for graduates and their guests.

Baccalaureate for Van Buren graduates is scheduled for Sunday, May 14, at 3 p.m. at the VBFAC. Project Graduation will be directly after graduation in the VBHS Commons.

Cedarville will hold the earliest ceremony this year on Friday, May 12, at 7 p.m. at the high school gymnasium. Baccalaureate is set for Tuesday at 6 p.m. Cedarville First Baptist Church.

Alma High School graduation is Saturday, May 13, at 7 p.m. at the Charles B. Dyer Arena.

Alma and Mulberry high schools both will have their baccalaureates on Sunday.

Alma’s baccalaureate will be at 7 p.m. at the Alma Performing Arts Center, while Mulberry’s is at 2 p.m. at the Mulberry Assembly of God Church.

Mulberry High School graduation is Thursday, May 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the C.B. “Cotton” Havener Gymnasium.

Mountainburg High School graduation is Friday, May 19, at 7:30 p.m. on Dragon Field barring inclement weather. Mountainburg’s baccalaureate is Sunday, May 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the high school gym.
