The Crawford County Quorum Court will consider a public auction ordinance at Monday's regular meeting, which also will be the first meeting attended by District 3's new representative, Tim Hodges of Van Buren.
An ordinance sponsored by Justice of the Peace Elaina Damanate seeks to establish an annual public auction to dispose of confiscated or unclaimed property in the possession of any county official. If approved, the auction will be a held at 10 a.m. on a Saturday at a date and site to be determined by County Judge John Hall.
The quorum court's budget committee, chaired by JP Mary Blount, will meet at 6:30 p.m., 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the regular quorum court meeting. Both meetings will take place in Circuit Courtroom No. 2 on South Fourth Street.
According to Hall, the quorum court is also likely to hold a special meeting later this month to discuss a new county ambulance contract.
